Sea otters eat more than 25% of their body weight each day?
Half the fun of classroom visits is getting the students excited to learn. But logistics are key to a successful program. Here are some steps to help you along:
Registration for 2009-2010 programs begins September 1st.
Before your visit to the Seattle Aquarium please view our Orientation Video.
A Tip on Timing:Fall and winter months have fewer school groups in classrooms and exhibits and are generally the best times to visit the Aquarium.
Reservations:
Aquarium Registrar:If you need assistance, contact the Aquarium Registrar Monday-Friday, from 7:30am-3:30pm at (206) 386-4353 or by email.
Chaperones:Chaperones are an important part of every successful Aquarium visit. The Aquarium requires one adult for every five students. Chaperones must remain with students throughout the visit. Groups without sufficient adult supervision may not be admitted. Download Tips for Teachers and Chaperones.
Teacher Planning Pass:After you have received your field trip confirmation email, you may request a one-time teacher planning pass from our Registrar. We encourage you to visit the Aquarium before your field trip to help with your planning process. The planning pass will be available to pick up at the admission gate with your school ID.
Limited Entry:Entry times are staggered to prevent crowding during highest attendance hours from February- September. Large groups will be staggered as well. Please keep to your scheduled entry time to help alleviate overcrowding for everyone.
